This year we are using the on-line
meet entry system. Other than the first meet of the year, the
Victor invitational, we will not be using any paper entry
forms.
Please check the meet section
periodically to see what meets are coming up.
Meet information: If you
click on the meet name, it will open up a discription of the meet
with brief information like dates, location, ages that are eligible
for the meet. Once in the meet discription, you should notice
that the meet name is linked. This link will take you to the
meet announcement that will have all the specific information you
will need such as, warm-up times, sessions times, number of events
you can swim. There is also a link on the meet location
name. This will give you the address and phone number to help
get you there.
How to enter a
meet: Find the meet you would like to enter and then
click on "Attend this meet". You should see your swimmers
name and there will be a drop down menu. Click on the arrow
and then select "Yes, I will attend this meet". Once you have
clicked on "Yes" it will open up an event list. All you have to do
is click the box next to the events you want to enter. After all
the events are entered, click on submit and you have successfully
entered the meet. Please note that for most meets, it will
designate which day each event is on. It will say Day 1, Day
2, Day 3, etc. If the first day of the meet is Friday,
Friday's events will be Day 1. Saturday- Day 2, Sunday- Day
3. I will tell you that this isn't always the case. The
November Open did not have that set up correctly so it shows all
events as Day 1. Unfortunately, I can't change that. It comes
as a file from the meet director. This would be a good
example of when to use the Meet announcement to double check what
events are on what day.
Making changes or
corrections: After you have submitted your entries, your
swimmers coaches will review the entries before I have to send them
to the meet director. Once they have viewed the entries, they
will "Approve" them. If you need to make any corrections, you can
go back through the entry process and make any changes you need,
unless you notice that there are check marks next to the events you
want to change. Check marks indicate that those events have
already been viewed and approved by the coach and they cannot be
changed. If there are no check marks, you will be able to
make changes freely. If you really need to make a change and
the events have already been approved, e-mail Evan and he can make
the change.
